Ashley Greene and Miley Cyrus traveled to Paris for a long weekend filming LOL in the city of love. The girls looked like they were having a blast at work, checking out the sights and filming the romantic scenes. Ashley and her costars splashed around in the famous Trocadero fountain, Miley kissed her leading man in front of the Eiffel Tower, and the whole group took a boat ride down the Seine. Enamored with the beautiful French decorating, Ashley Twittered about wanting to recreate her hotel room back home in California. It wasn’t all work and tourist time, as Ashley and Miley let loose with an evening of clubbing on Saturday. The twosome hit up the hotspot, VIP Room , where they danced the night away. Miley’s moves have gotten her in hot water before , but this time the 17 year old just sucked on a lollipop and hung out with Ashley.

Oracle CEO Larry Ellison just released a statement in response to HP suing former CEO Mark Hurd for taking a position as Oracle’s co-president, and well, just read it: Oracle has long viewed HP as an important partner,” said Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. “By filing this vindictive lawsuit against Oracle and Mark Hurd, the HP board is acting with utter disregard for that partnership, our joint customers, and their own shareholders and employees. The HP Board is making it virtually impossible for Oracle and HP to continue to cooperate and work together in the IT marketplace. Yeah. Homeboy isn’t playing around. Of course, HP’s entire lawsuit hinges on the court agreeing that HP and Oracle are actually direct competitors in the enterprise space, and, as the lawsuit points out, Oracle itself has filed SEC reports saying its hardware and software products “compete directly” with HP and other companies, so perhaps this is all more sound than fury, but at this point we wouldn’t count on a quick settlement putting all this to bed anytime soon. P.S.- We told you Larry Ellison would say something bonkers again.

Our eyes were drawn to an FCC filing this morning from a California start-up by the name of Zelfy; a quick glance at Zelfy’s site reveals that they’re in “stealth mode,” but the picture of a woman using an iPhone to control her TV should give you an idea of what these guys are up to. Indeed, digging through the filing shows a product called “Peel” whose central component, the “Peel Fruit,” is a small, battery-powered sphere of an IR blaster that connects to your home network router. Next, you download the Peel app onto the iPhone (or iPod touch ) of your choice and control the Fruit over WiFi. The filing reveals little in the way of UI or functionality, but the product’s tagline is “every remote and TV guide now on your phone,” so we would assume that you’ll have access to your cable provider’s lineup and schedule from the app. More on this one just as soon as Zelfy decides to emerge from stealth mode, we suppose. Should there be an international award for Cheekiest Man of the Year, it’d have to go to Meizu’s shameless Jack Wong . Shortly after Apple’s keynote last week, the CEO of KIRFdom seized the opportunity to cry foul on the new iPod touch , claiming it “looks a bit like” his forthcoming M9II Android phone, as pictured above. Wait, M9II? Turns out even though the M9 has yet to materialize in early October, Mr. Wong already has an enhanced model to be brought forth by his faithful unicorns. Assuming both M9 series devices will carry the same Meizu-fied Android 2.2 software, the only known differences on the M9II include a larger 4-inch display (as opposed to 3.5 inches at 960 x 640), the additional front-facing camera plus flash for the rear camera, and a Cortex-A9 CPU. To play devil’s advocate, we’d actually suggest Wong skip the M9 for this lovely dream phone, but we’re probably too late — check out his snazzy prototype M9 after the break. When I make guacamole , I prefer to use green onions instead of red or white onions because the green have a milder flavor. However, I recently tested a recipe where the raw white onions were soaked in water for a few minutes before being added to the avocado. The resulting minced onions were noticeably less strong with a somewhat sweeter, more mellow flavor. When the guacamole was finished, rather than overpower the dish, the onions complemented it. Here’s what you do: Slice or dice the onion according to your recipe. Place in a bowl and cover with water. Let sit on the counter for five to 10 minutes

I have a thing for Star Wars spoofs , and trust me there are a ton of them out there. I don’t think any of them are quite like Grocery Store Wars though.
